Foothills Dental Academy
Become a registered dental assistant with radiology in the State of Tennessee! Our 14-week, accelerated program allows you to achieve your certification much faster than the typical 6-month dental assistant program. Student must be 18 or older and have a high school diploma or G.E.D. to register. You can register online, or download our form, print and complete, then mail back to us. Class is capped at 10 students— act now to guarantee your spot!
Students will work with real patients in a working dental office. Gain real-world experience and discover the many benefits of working as a registered dental assistant. RDA Program Prerequisites
Students must be 18 years of age or older before admittance into the program and must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Any conviction must be explained to the Board of Dentistry with their application for registration and all court documents regarding the conviction must be submitted. The Board of Dentistry reviews submitted court documents with the application for registration and may deny registration or require an appearance before the Board of Dentistry before deciding to
issue or deny the registration.

EXPENSES$3,000 total, including all supplies, texbooks, and materials. $500 is due at time of registration (non-refundable) and $2,500 is due no later than February 19, 2024. This cost includes your application for certification within the State of Tennessee.
EXPERT INSTRUCTIONYou will be taught by the friendly team at Daniel Family Dentistry, including Drs. Heidi and Patrick Daniel, as well as other dentals assistants at the office. As a bonus, you will be certified in CPR, which is a requirement for many other jobs and roles in fields like healthcare, teaching, etc.

Q: Is the course online or in person?
A: The Registered Dental Assisting Program is an in-person, hands-on learning course. The course will take place in our dental office.
Q: Is the course accredited? A: Yes, our program has been approved by the state of Tennessee Board of Dentistry, and we are certified in dental assisting and dental radiology.
Q: How long is the program? A: The length of the course is 14 weeks. The program takes place on Thursday and Friday for a total of 9 hours weekly. Thursdays: 4:30-7:30pm; Fridays: 9am-3pm

You will work 1:1 with the doctor learning about different dental procedures, techniques and how a dental office operates.

Q: What certifications will I receive with the dental assisting program? A: Upon successful completion of the corresponding exams and the course, you will receive certifications in Dental Assisting and Radiology. You will also obtain your certification in CPR.
Q: How much does the program cost? A: We require a non-refundable deposit of $500.00 to hold your spot in the course. The cost of the Registered Dental Assisting Program is $3000. The deposit will go towards the cost of tuition. We cannot accept financial aid at this time.
